I am a bit of a roamer, but as Tolkien said, “Not all who wander are lost.”
I spend about half of each year overseas and half in the United States. I love cycling, backpacking, kayaking, skating, long-boarding, and anything outdoors.
I have a liberal arts degree in philosophy, religion, and English literature. I’ve traveled in more than forty-seven nations and have enjoyed soul-searching conversations with people from just about every culture—African, Asian, European, Latin American, Middle Eastern, Russian, and tribal—as well as just about every religion: Christian, Muslim, Jew, Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, Jain, animist, atheist, and agnostic. I’ve been just about everywhere on this amazing planet and I’ve discovered that people of every race, creed, and culture experience disappointment in their fellow human beings. I don’t know why, but it seems that we can’t help but hurt one another.
I hope that you find true love on your journey. And if you are disappointed somewhere along the way, I hope that you find the grace to forgive.
